Another work in the Madonna Collection, this drawing was inspired by the original painting, Our Lady of the Eucharist, by the Italian Renaissance master Sandro Botticelli, executed in c. 1470. This piece focuses solely on the Virgin Mary’s face, whereas the original painting depicted the Virgin Mary holding her baby son, Jesus, in her lap, and being visited by an angel.
